Preschool, Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Programs
- The Montessori classroom provides a specially prepared environment designed to encourage the preschool,pre-kindergarten and kindergarten child to work at an individual pace towards an understanding of the world.
Activities are self-correcting and entice the child to learn through hands-on experiences. The curriculum includes language, math, practical life and sensorial activities. Music, art, science, geography, world cultures and computer use
are also an integral part of the classroom. Gym, library and Spanish classes are incorporated on a weekly basis. Special programs and field trips are held throughout the year.Our afternoon program is identical to our morning program. We use the same classrooms, materials and
teachers. Please consider this program when requesting placement. 2 and 3 day preschool/pre-kindergarten programs are only offered in the afternoon. In accordance with Pennsylvania regulations, our preschool/prekindergarten/
kindergarten classrooms are licensed by the Department of Education. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old by October 31st of the enrolled school year. Each school district has its own age requirements and acceptance
policies for 1st grade. Enrollment in our program does not guarantee 1st grade placement by your school district for the following year; parents must familiarize themselves with their school district policies.
Primary and Upper Elementary Programs
- This is our seventh year of offering Montessori elementary programs and we are pleased with their success. Each year, we continue to assess the program and work to improve its’ effectiveness.

Toddler Programs
- The Montessori toddler classroom is designed to meet the needs of the 12 month to 33 month old child.
Based on the Montessori philosophy of “learning by doing,” the materials are designed to entice the child’s senses, encouraging the toddler to explore the environment through hands-on experiences.
Songs, fingerplays and socialization activities are also a vital and fun part of the curriculum. Our full day program is designed for parents who need full-time care. The afternoon program, for full-time toddlers, will include a supervised lunch period, gross motor activities, quiet time, nap time and snack.
Afternoon hours can be prearranged for one or all days of the week.
